15 -year-old Nikita Zhukov (Arkhipp Lebedev), nicknamed Zhuk, is the unconditional, stern leader of the class. But a new kid comes to school - Senya Ivanov (Roman Baum). He quickly wins the sympathy of his classmates and teachers. Zhuk sees Sena as a competitor. Real Shakespearean passions unfold when competitors begin to fight for the heart of Liza Ermakova (Veronica Ustimova).

Filming took place in Moscow in the summer and autumn of 2021 . New guy premiered in April 2022 . Veronica plays the role of Liza Ermakova - a squeezed, unremarkable girl in the class who becomes the lady of the hearts of both Nikita Zhukov and Senya Ivanov. Despite the seemingly banal plot, the film is a breeze to watch. Viewers rated the film quite highly ( 7.4 according to Kinopoisk user ratings). The film was released in June 2022 in several dozen cinemas in Russia, but was not widely released.
